CATCHING THE BEAT
At St. Justin-St. Michael parish, young people are catching the beat of the new evangelization, being formed as new apostles with the radical mission of changing the world by their lives, by their faith. Our teens and young adults are a lively source of energy for the parish. They are putting their ideas into action to create a stronger intergenerational community by serving and learning from elders, and bringing hope to those who are alone and isolated. These young people who are growing in their love of Christ and His Church are being formed as leaders as they are challenged to learn and apply Church’s teachings. They form a network of support with each other.
As a parish, we affirm Pope Francis’ invitation to the youth to become the future of the Church by being the “now” of the Church. Don’t wait until you are “ready,” he says, you have a lot to give now to the Church!

Did You Know?
In his message to youth, “Christus vivit!” (“Christ is alive,” 03-25-2019), Pope Francis lists twelve saints who were young people and suggests that youth today follow their examples: St. Sebastian, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Joan of Arc, Blessed Andrew Phü Yên, St. Kateri Tekakwitha, St. Dominic Savio, St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Blessed Ceferino Namuncurá, Blessed Isidore Frassati, Blessed Marcel Callo and Blessed Chiara Badano.
To Young People: “Do not be afraid to listen to the Spirit who proposes bold choices; do not delay when your conscience asks you to take risks in following the Master.”
DO SOMETHING POSITIVE FOR A YOUNG PERSON TODAY!
Ask them a question, give a word of encouragement, say a prayer for them.
